HOUSTON, TX — If you’re looking for something fun to do this weekend, you’ll likely find something related to Mardi Gras or Valentine’s Day happening in the Houston.

Last week, the Galveston Mardi Gras kicked off with parades and parties on the Strand, and there will be more of that this weekend.

Of course, if you’re looking for a scaled down Mardi Gras there are celebrations in Magnolia and Houston happening this weekend too.

But there’s more going on, and we have the list of things to do that are sure to help you have a great weekend.

It’s Not Me, It’s You: Anti-Valentines Art Show| Insomnia Gallery in Houston | Friday 7-11pm | Free: Having a feud with your love life? Just not feeling the romance on Valentine’s Day, like ever? Check out the opening reception of It’s Not Me, It’s You, a collection of art and photography from more than 30 local artists, and celebrate striking out love once again.We Love Houston Art Show & Singles Bash|RockStar Gallery in Houston| Friday 7pm to 10pm – If you’re looking for a date, and haven’t completely given up on finding your perfect match, come on out and hang with like-minded seekers of romance at this pop-up event that features light bites, brews from Saint Arnold, margaritas, palm readings, ice breaker games, massage therapy, and more. It’s cheap, but it aint free. Tickets.Galveston Mardi Gras| Feb 2-13| It’s the 107th time Galveston has held Mardi Gras, and they have gotten pretty good at it. Mardi Gras! Galveston, the third largest Mardi Gras celebration in the United States, offers the unique chance to experience sand between your toes and gorgeous beach sunsets while taking in the revelry and lavish parades known to dominate Galveston Island during carnival season. Tickets are available online.Mardi Gras on the Stroll|Magnolia| Feb. 10 11am-6pm: Hosted by Lone Pint Brewery, the first ever Mardi Gras on the Stroll includes music, a Cajun Cook-off and an umbrella stroll. Lots of fun for the whole family that’s also free. EastEndBikeRide: 4th Annual Love Ride | FREE| Meeting @ D&W Lounge Houston| 1 – 6pm| Meeting up and D&W Lounge and take a bike tour, taking in the sights of our amazing city. Don’t forget the uniform of the day is anything pink, red, and purple for this social bike ride. Taking a trip to all of the the love-themed murals throughout the East End and around the city. Don’t be shy.Waterway Nights|The Woodlands|Feb 10, from 6:30 – 8:30 pm| Enjoy an evening of live music every weekend on The Woodlands Waterway. This weekend, the Blue Grooves perform. They play a little bit of everything. Free.Mardi Gras Annual Pub Crawl Downtown Houston| Saturday 3 – 10pm| Bring your friends and enjoy a few adult beverages from bars like Dean’s, El Big Bad, Batanga at the Annual Mardi Gras Pub Crawl. Tickets.Chicago Lions @ Houston SaberCats|Constellation Field in Sugar Land| Saturday @ 7pm: The Super Bowl is over, but if you need a football fix, take in the Rugby action as the Houston SaberCats take on the Chicago Lions this weekend. Houston Rockets vs. Dallas Mavericks| at Houston’s Toyota Center| Sunday @ 6pm| Come show some love for Houston’s Big Red Machine, and cheer on the Rockets a they make a run at this year’s NBA title.Tickets.Valentine’s Dance & Romantic Dinner for Two at Maggiano’s| Sunday 6 – 10pm| Put down the cell phones and get an early start on Valentine’s Day with a romantic dinner for two that includes along with wine, dancing, and live music from Van Lang.
